The knocking noises from the front of the car are well documented and discussed at length.

Knocking from the rear is a rarer phenomena. The dangling weights would be very unlikely to swing enough to catch anything - unless you have fitted some new exhaust tips or similar. Even then the weights hitting those would be unlikely to be evident inside the vehicle. If you can "feel" a knocking, its likely to be suspension, transmission (like rear diff) or brakes or unbalanced wheels or a loose exhaust pipe. All of those should have been pretty obvious to a half decent garage though. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

One thing I would check is that the spare isn't hanging down slightly, could be loose in the stowage and bumping around. Open the boot, take out the tray of tools and give the winch a couple of turns to see if it is tight 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Also check the heat shield is secure - that was the cause of my rear knocking! Shocked 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
