Just had a very quick search and it looks like the Scorpions are available in 255/50 R19's as well, unless you are particularly the extra side wall? |

255/55/19s will fit just fine on the RRS, in fact that's the tire size Land Rover picks for its own G4 vehicles (although they use the more aggressive GY Wrangler MTRs.) Plenty of rrsport forum members run on that size I believe, and FYI here in the US there is also a "mild" all-terrain Pirelli Scorpion ATR available in 255/55/19 if you are looking for something a tad more aggressive than an all-season tire but not quite as "all out" as the MTR; Not sure if that Pirelli is yet available in your neighborhood, though... Your speedo will be off marginally and you may give up a tiny bit of handling precision due to the extra sidewall, but that's about it. The MTRs are considerably less capable than either the Pirellis or the stock tires on the road, of course. |

RJ - Thanks for the info, how long exactly did it take for them to do the install in the end.. The kits states 20 mins, was it much over that?

Hi Umbertob, that sounds great, thanks for the info. ![]() Unfortunately they really seem not to be offered here. But since I'll have to go to my friends of TUEV with this tyre size I can also ask them to allow some non-european but american tyres. The Scorpion ATRs are available over here in 255/55R18 so I think this is not the biggest deal. And buying 19 inch tyres (even from the US) is a lot less work to do than buy 18 inch wheels, 18 inch tyres and sell my 19 inch wheels. Do you know what these Pirellis in 255/55R19 cost in the US? Is there any big online-shop for tyres in the US? Does anybody here have 255/55R19 on his car in Germany (or a country with similar strict road rules)? Thanks a lot! ![]() ![]() |

I used to import tyres to the UK from tirerack.com I found them very cheap and very professional. Their site is good for researching tyres although obviously has an American slant. |

You can easily get the Pirelli Scorpion ATR in 255/55/19 in Europe & the UK. Just call Disco3 site sponsor AJS tyres. |
