Tyre pressure is very important so I always keep it checked.

John, I went through two whole sets of tyres in 26k and had my alignment checked - all ok. A lot seems to also be dependent on tyre mfr - I had the Contis from the factory, followed by Pirellis from my local tyre emporium but both wore very heavily. That said, I couldn't say I drove it gently |

Ah but LR will tell you that this is normal tyre wear on the outer shoulders and is characteristic.........well it certainly has been on both of my RRSs.

Not surprised to be honest - you have 2 1/2 ton of car running on 4 bits of rubber. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

John - agree it's a lot and I would have to agree the standard fitted tyres are not really up to the job as they are too soft. I've got MTR's fitted on mine and done 20,000 on them so far and would say they have another 30,000 left in them. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Thanks VA I will give them a look, though everyone I speak to say that hard waering tyres should not be used on a vehicle of this weight so it seems to be a rock and hard place situation. |
