Pics of my GTC

Sorry couldn't get them on here, but linked into photobucket below....

Think I've said a lot of negative things about the car - good things are, the awesome power, incredible acceleration....and the ride is pretty good too. Sounds like nothing this side of a V8 Vantage (still one of the best sounds imho). And will keep it until the summer... Thumbs Up

Thanks - Kaine what ever happened to Mission speakers? I had a pair of 753 floorstanders, they were iconic speakers in my opinion, I've still got them somewhere!

Now you're making me sound very old - think I've had them maybe 15 years now, paid £1000 for them back then - which was a lot of money - comparatively I guess. One of my clients has just been given sole dist rights for Linn Hi Fi in India - not sure there is a market for them there, maybe. Speaking like a total novice, but would you pay that kind of money if money were no object??

for me its all about getting the right sound - I've demo'd Linn, Naim and others a few times and have always been impressed HOWEVER sometimes I've been just as impressed by systems a 10th of the cost. I always remember going to the Sound & Vision show about 15 years ago in Bristol and coming away concluding the best sound of the day was from a TEAC Mini Deck wired up to some Mission 752's.

Audio is always subjective - personally I like strong mid range (punchy bass like what the 753's delivered in buckets). If your going to buy then definetely don't assume more money means better sound - it can and normally does mean better build but you need to find a manufacturer sound that suits you

When I have clients looking to spend big I try to find out in detail what they really want to hear - sometimes its actually hard to get them not to go ott - we recently fitted too Sunfire SubRosa In wall subs into a Home Cinema - thats 6000W of power - can't use a fraction of the power they produce but he just likes the idea of having them (£2.5k each too so not cheap)

Have a funny feeling you client will sell buckets loads in India. They have never had an abundance of money like they have now, and I'm afraid they are very "Americanised" and love all that oneupmanship stuff, buy things just for the price rather than substance.... 2008 RRS S/C, Java Black/Ebony Sports Seats, Side Steps, Zebrano, Privacy Glass, Premium ICE, Hybrid TV, 22" Black/Polish Stormers.

Well it might look good, but engine management light came on again last night. Ok so it's covered under warranty but is still no excuse for me having to take time out to get this stuff sorted and calling out breakdown etc...

So, til this morning...

Engine Management light on
Faulty airbag sensor
Tyre Air pressure sensor not working
About 7 intermittent faults showing up on the plug in diagnostic which will need attention at a dealer. Good news is that their loan cars are RRS - and that I'm looking forward to!

Might be worth trying to find out if the faults are why the lost owner sold it, Sad

maybe the dealers service log will be able to tell you

How do you guys know this kind of stuff??? I'm impressed. Ok, well here are the details - the car is an ex P1 International car, hence the 50,000 miles - and without being crass, for everyone of those miles, the car cost £1 - which I think is a bargain, hence why I swapped the GT for it . Truth be known I'd rather go back to a bog standard GT in a nice colour, but a newer one. So I'm looking now - Black or Tempest. I was in Jack Barclay the other morning and they have a Red Speed at a knock down price, but guess you'd have to be crazy to go for a red one!

Thanks for the tips guys - I will mention this to breakdown assist when they turn up Thumbs Up
