I am looking for a rear mounted bike rack that I can put on the car whilst towing (the maxxraxx solution is no good because it wont fit the RRS)

What are you towing? if it's a van just stick the bikes inside during the journey. Speed Limits! not where I live!

What towbar, I assume you are talking the detachable. Witter were talking about doing one that is like the multi height one without the ugly supports. I gave up with the D3 and bought the fixed one with the maxxraxx. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate |

Wouldn't have thought a few bikes would upset a twin axle caravan - twin axle rated to over 2 tonne is it not and not much different to a couple of suitcaes in the back |

I tow one of these trailers www.iwt.co.uk/products/p6e.htm that is slightly modified to have two ladder racks closely spaced on it for carrying my windsurfing kit and have the same problem as MX. The bikes I carry are high end with fully air/oil suspension set ups so they cannot go in the box part of the trailer (which also fills up with windsurfing gear, and when the trailer is loaded with boards there isn't height inside the 'box' part I'll have to have a look at NP's system too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have a bike rack from Pacific which lets me hold up to 3 bikes on the tow, possibly without actually stopping you hitching a trailer or caravan. It has a T bar that fits between the ball and mount, and the rack is attached via two mounts and clips. Not sure if it could possibly clip during cornering though
