Gearbox staying in 4th gear too long

I do quite a bit of country driving and recently I've noticed that, even when running on a flat road section after a hill of overtaking, the gearbox stays in 4th for what seems to be far too long before dropping into o'drive. Has anyone else experienced this? Got a fix? Is it an issue? 2006 Black/Alpaca, Hi Ice, Dynamic Pack, 19" wheels, Clear Pack...

Ask at your next visit to the dealer for a remap.
And try to be gently with the trottle. When it doesn't change, reduce pressure on trottle a little bit and it will change gear. Wink
RRS stays longer in a lower gear then the D3.

The box has 6 gears so are you sticking in 5th?? The box is also adaptive so learns your driving style, perhaps it thinks you may zoom off any moment Shocked Very Happy Cheers

Thanks for the tips. Had the gearbox remapped ysterday at my regular service. Drove 300km and still noticed it sticking in 5th. Pushed stick into manual mode and pushed "up" to 6th and it changed in. I'll give it some more time to bed down. Maybe the suggestion that it's "learning" is right. 2006 Black/Alpaca, Hi Ice, Dynamic Pack, 19" wheels, Clear Pack...
