They don't generally because D3/F2 and RRS are still too new to count................................... I think D3 was included last year for the first time and was up in the top 10, so RRS should be included this year as the earliest cars are now over 3 years old. F2 should get in next year. sorry i have taken so long to reply as i have been away. i am on my third land rover from AM and have been dealing with them for about 5 years. i have had a few small issues with them but nothing as bad as my last visit when i asked them to give me a price for a job that wanted doing on my rrs. They looked at it and charged me £100 then told me it would cost around £300 to repair it. i then mentioned a possible insurance claim and they called me the next day to tell me that it would cost £2300 to repair because they couldn't buy that part on its own. i thought this was a bit strange so i got a price from GS in Leeds and they said it would cost £600 and it took them about 10 minutes to look at it with no charge for looking. i then went to ripon LR who also took about 10 minutes to look at it with no charge and the price was £200 inc vat. i then took my rrs back to AM to have them put it back together properly as my radio wasn't working this took 2hrs standing around in their showroom and even then i noticed 2 clips were missing on my dashboard when i got back in it.i didnt even get an apology f.ck... p.ss takers the lot of them excuse my french . Since then ripon lr have done the job in question & mot and guess what they even cleaned my car , i dont consider myself an awkward customer and have always paid my bills on reciept but this has really got my back up. It is a shame because AM are only about ten minutes from my house but ripon LR will get my custom from now on i hope this helps.

Buster, 3 things:

a) Have you written to the Dealer Principle at AM asking for an explanation of why you were charged for an inspection for a repair - I know of NO other dealer (LR or otherwise) that charges for this.

b)Have you asked above DP why the huge difference in price between you paying for the work to be done and the insurer paying (I had this happen to me too with my last RRS)

c)Please add a post in the Dealership Feedback section of the forum - don't hold back, tell it as it was.

If you don't point out poor or inadequate service to senior management then they cannot follow it up and take action to ensure it doesn't happen again. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
