I always go for Dell personally, good kit and the post-sales support is good - indeed XPS owners get their own support line. The one you showed an example of is perfect. The XPS laptops are particularly suitable as they are designed specifically for gaming and have lots of grunt. The wireless connectivity is an incidental of course, but will suit you down to the ground. Only downside of them is that they're damn heavy for laptops, but they're packed full of kit so hardly surprising.

My man at John Lewis was clearly not a big Apple fan. I had to force him to show me a few and he dissed them pretty comprehensively for price, poor gaming graphics, costly upgrades, incompatibility with most of the real world. Maybe they are just low margin and/or low commission. Must admit that the HP unit he sold me gets great on-line reviews and his price was £170 cheaper than the cheapest price I can find on the net. So maybe, just maybe, he did me a good deal..... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini Disco 4 TDv6 HSE Ipanema Defender 90, 200tdi CSW |
