I think diesel will need to get considerably more expensive to buy to allow a car like a petrol RRS to be more economical in terms of how much you spend at the pumps every month. But certainly, where the mpg figures of petrol and diesel variants are much closer it makes petrol worth looking at again

Ive got the TDV8, If i dont reset the trip meter im getting consistanly around 22mpg (with alot of spirited town driving thrown in). On a motorway run when i reset it its between 26-30mpg for regular speeds. As low as 22-24 if you had access to an autobahn .

I've got the 4.4 petrol. I've been getting an average of 18mpg, which increases to 24mpg on a motorway run and decreases to about 16mpg when I'm having fun with it. It's marginally slower than the S/C (1 sec 0-60 and 10mph top end). Hands up anyone who has actually gone at 140mph in their S/C RRS.
