Cyprus 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
indications on dashboard disappeared!!!

This morning i had my RRS TDV8 parked in an open parking under 36C. I dont know if the v.high temperature and/or the direct sunlight are the cause of the problem. When i switched on the engine everything appeared working normally until after 10-15 secs when all indications on the dashboard disappeared (The engine revs were zero, speed was zero, no fuel, no indications on the 2 screens on the dashboard, no lights, no indicators….. Nothing….. It appeared that the engine was switched off, although the car was operating with no problem.) Note that except the above problem the car was operating normally. After 30 min. i tried again and everything seems to be perfect.
I ve read another post from -panos- back in dec2007, he had excactly the same problem but no reply what happened next...
Sorry for my 'greek-lish' i hope you can undestand what is the problem, i ll appriciate any info/advise...
Thanks RRS TDV8 HSE Java Black

You might find it was literally just one of those things... if it happens again, then it could be something faulty which your dealer will probably need to sort. But unless it happens again, I wouldn't worry too much.

This is not a regular problem and is likely to be caused by a poor connection somewhere - probably in the plug from the instrument binnicle. The heat may have been a factor. If it does it again get your dealer to check it out. Just one of those things I'm afraid and could happen on any car. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

My view is that S can provide the comedy and the stealer is your best bet for the tech side...

A new car should be bug free in any saleable climate - LR are your target....
