Bit of a way along the coast from you but i've used these guys before, ask for Jason or Dan, ex JLR techs who know what they're doing, also the bonus that they do gearbox flushing

| Don't know about the "valve" but my old 2007 2.7TDV6 i never had to press the brake to start it, think that only came in with the facelift in 2009 |
