Needless to say, the dealer has been completely useless. No response at all. There will be a huge to-do if they try to wriggle out when I present the car for service after the warranty has run out.

No, nearly 3 years old, and it’s the first thing to go “wrong”.

The car has otherwise been perfect in every way and I get a great deal of pleasure driving it.

First warranty fault on my SVR: the rubber tether keeping the petrol filler cap attached to the car has failed!

I assume it’s user installable, so will email the dealer to get a replacement...

I think the carbon option is well worth it and includes the steering wheel trim as well. I also have the engine cover which is obviously more marginal.

I think the cost of the option is reasonable ...

I assume my SVR has the 105 litre tank but the fuel gauge is very pessimistic so than even when the remaining range is zero, I can only put about 90 litres in it.
