I'd say yes, you've been unlucky.

Worth also noting that windscreens generally are thinner. The L320 has a thicker sandwich construction to the L494.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you should have made sure the use of OE parts was written into the policy before it was incepted.

Yes. Heated makes no difference (unless the policy states it as an exclusion, which I doubt).
