2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Sounds like you don't need to know the IP Jay, you need to put the modem into a sealed/ locked steel security box so that only you or your brother have the keys to. Then the suspect will have to cut cables to disable the modem.
The optical disk recorder section of the Voyage event recorders on our ships are sealed in this type of box and I as the master am the only person who has the key (and I won't tell you where it is kept!) so that in the event of an "incident" nobody else can destroy the evidence from the recordings taken from the radars, engine settings, GPS, and 10 microphones that record all conversation etc that form the VDR system. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

No, the router holds the internet-facing IP address and your router should have a Dyndns client built into it, so no need to download anything to the PCs.

Eh? Wink

What I think you mean is that you've set the router to use your Dyndns account, but when you go to the site to see what IP is allocated there isn't one? Hmm.. sounds like the router isn't registering. Does the account from that ISP not give you a hostname? e.g... jays-machine.jays-isp.com or something? If so, from your machine in your shop you should be able to find out the IP of that host by pinging it from a DOS box.

C:\WINDOWS>ping jays-machine.jays-isp.com

Pinging jays-machine.jays-isp.com [10.86.128.19] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 10.86.128.19: bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=120
Reply from 10.86.128.19: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=120
Reply from 10.86.128.19: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=120

Ping statistics for 10.86.128.19:
    Packets: Sent = 3, Received = 3, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 5ms, Maximum = 7ms, Average = 5ms
