any arhitects/CAD Designers on the forum?

I need an A1/A2 plotter for detailed layout drawings and need some advice - been reading to much marketing crap and not sure what to do

the drawings I want to print are quite detailed and include wiring schematics and layouts - I've been using a local print company for the last few years however decided I need one inhouse as we are doing more detailed design work all the time.

Any recommendations at all - not sure I need colour? will a monochrome plotter/printer surfice? is it worth buying or leasing? I am swaying towards a HP Designjet 110+ but get the feeling I am buying too much functionality for what i need?

any advice greatfully received

and before Brian, Aljo and ENVOY start, I am after advice regarding plotters

the HP Designjet 110 has a lot of funcuality and if i was buying one id probally go for that too

lesser models may not give you the quality of drawings you may expect

and of course if you want to get into cad designs on a biggers scale in the future then this would be a good investment

i use an old Hp design 430 plotter for full size plans, but not very often any more, sorry not up to date with modern plotters  some of my Previous cars

Kaine U2U me tomorrow with what your thinking of and I will have a word with the various design teams I use. They print off on A1 daily in colour and B&W.
