2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Was offered £35000 for my 16000 mile 55 plate SE Tdv6 10 days ago so by a main dealer, but it is in an uncommon colour (and much admired by everybody who sees it int he flesh I might add!) so £42000 for a low miles (I assume ex demo car in a colour that is really very common) isn't unreasonable in my book, but skin them for every penny you can get off it or extras they will add! Try them for a year's free insurance with land Rover Insurance - that's good for about £500! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Pushing the dealer now and getting some movement on price. One thing i have to ask is the privacy glass is not factory fitted but fitted from a company called PENTAGON i believe, would that be an issue come to resale? or does it not make any difference?

PS. Great response from you guys and much appreciated.

Factory tints are always preferable and I bet if you were selling to a dealer a RRS with after tints they would say that only factory tints add value. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

They are probably the best outfit out there for after market privacy glass - BUT - no one does the job as good as when it leaves the factory. The noticeable difference is the wires from the heated elements can be seen clearly - whereas factory fit they are not.... However I am splitting hairs here. If they are offering the Pentagon fit - OK

Here you go - this was my dealers demo 18mths ago ... aftermarket titnts

Here is another aftermarket job

As others have said, the factory privacy glass is best but Pentagon are widely regarded as the best when it comes to aftermarket tints - this shouldn't pose you a resale problem. Good that they're looking at moving on the price now... I reckon you can push for the 41.5k for the sounds of it and get the car, if Kam doesn't find anything for you.

I see your point about heated elements showing on aftermarket tints...................my last RRS had factory tints which to be honest look great. Im going to ring around and see what else is on offer, quite a few are being exchanged for TDV8 so maybe hold on and see what else i can get but definetly now prefer the factory tints.

Amar - why another RRS, what one did you have before, why did you sell that? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I had an 06 TDV6 HSE black with ivory. Lovely car but sold it as i going away on business for a bit (6 months).

Why another sport? dont like anything else out there. I do have my eye on the NEW X5 DIESEL SPORT which is due near the end of the year (so im told).

I have seen another RRS 2007 56 (feb) plate, factory tints for £43,500 dealer has agreed on a deal at that price. I managed to knock off £1800. Looks pretty good to me. Only done 1300, no warranty repairs carried out so far. Any opnioins?

So you're getting the 56 plate for 41.7k? Sounds like a deal... Thumbs Up
