So it looks like the new forum is going to need some experienced people who OWN full fat Range Rovers to start things off!

It will NEVER be forgotten, it was a wonderful car and I have never owned a car where so many people have wanted to have a look inside (mine was quite an early one from 2003) and to sit in it - not even my TVR 450 SEAC did that. It was a great car for making long journeys in BUT the suspension set-up did mean it rolled a lot in corners, otherwise it was sublime and I would have another one. Even though mine was a lowly SE version it didn't "want" for anything except a decent rear wash/wipe set-up - unlike the RRS (LR learned a lesson with the eraly FFRR's) it was a fixed interval and just couldn't cope with the amount of cr*p thrown up the back in damp weather, especially at motorway speeds when it was dangerously slow and you couldn't switch it to continuous run and just had to keep squirtling water on the screen to make it do 6 wipes.

I also saved up for 28 years to buy it - having driven very early Classic RR's in the Gulf in 1976 I told myself that one day I would own a Range Rover and started saving for the big day....................... in 2003 when I finally raided the bank account and put my money down.

The FFRR is still a great car, but up until recently with the 2007 MY, the handling of the Sport is better. Now that all FFRR's have the upgraded suspension of the S/C it will be a briiliant car. I must admit it is a hard decision for me whether to have another Sport or to go back to a FFRR, both are great cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
