Jay, don't miss the service even though it's 1 year old and only done a small milage. If you don't get it done LR will void your warranty if you need to make a warranty claim because you haven't kept it serviced as per their recommendations............................... Also as mentioned above the service is 15000 miles OR 1 year which ever come 1st. Like you my car doesn't get to the 15000 miles interval but it will get it's 2nd service in late May even though it only has 16000 miles on it. I have been having long discussions with folks in the USA who don't think any car can go that distance/time without at least an oil change and many Americans do an oil change every 3-5000 miles. It's OK for them where they can buy oil for about 2p a gallon! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

As part of the dealer PDI, they set the service indicator count down clock. The clock and warning will start sounding thirty days before the service is due.

When you finally get your vehicle serviced they will reset the clock, ready to annoy you again next year. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Yes, that's exactly what happened to mine TB. Car dropped off today for 1st service, but warning came-up a month ago. Thankfully, car was at the garage when it happened so they cancelled it down for me, saving me 30 days of annoyance. Jay, the 1st service is entitled "15,000 mile service" but that's maximum mileage and it still must be completed before 12 months elapse, regardless of lower mileage. It really is in your own interest to get the service carried out as soon as possible, as the terms of the Warranty does state deadlines on timescales (think it's 14 or 28 days or 6 weeks or 1000 miles or something similar). Just be careful mate.., get it done asap! Thumbs Up MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Serves you right for buying an import. Ner Ner

The service warning light will show after 11 months Jay, giving you thirty days notice to get it booked into a dealers for service. It would be no good flashing up after you have owned the motor for twelve moths, the waranty would be void !! Shocked Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. it's right there next to the mileage display and it's a little round emblem with a number (number of days til service). You can only see it for a few seconds when you start the car. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

Are you not listening Envoy? I said they turned mine off for me when it came on a month before service was due (at 11 months). It was a bit of luck as the car was at the garage for warranty work on the first day it happened. So, yes, it can be extinguished, if you ask nicely! Right, now I'll be asking questions later!!!
