HELP required with MP3 music sites / choice

ok...

Need some help in choosing a good reliable/cheap music site for downloading MP3's WMA etc etc.

The reason why...

This all came about over the weekend [ mothers day ] remember it ??

My mum has a huge collection of old Johnny Mathis LP's amongst other stuff and I have found it nearly impossible to locate a site that has one particular album = Raindrops keep falling on my head

MIDNIGHT COWBOY
BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER
HONEY COME BACK
ODDS AND ENDS
ALFIE
EVERYBODY'S TALKIN'
JEAN
A MAN AND A WOMAN
SOMETHING
WATCH WHAT HAPPENS
RAINDROPS KEEP FALLIN' ON MY HEAD

one track particulrly we were looking for was JEAN

I have found a number of sites - but without registering and paying to enable their search fascility - i'm hitting a brick wall

So can you have a look for the album on the sites you use & let me know how you get on and what sites you have used.

This is just it shmoogle ..... I 'm not sure I can search without joining/paying etc etc

and I dont want to have to keep joining lots of sites and downloading their software etc each time --- only to later find out they dont have the album/songs

I'm not sure... I don't use it personally - and iTunes is blocked from here, but I don't think you have to pay to search iTunes. You just pay to download tracks... have you tried to see how far you get?

As a last resort of getting the MP3, my folks are/were big Johnny Mathis fans too and I'm sure they will have that album. I could always rip it off the album if need be... as long as you can wait for it

This was my other plan shmoogle - but I'd need to buy a record player 1st and a lead to connect via pc etc .. so hence i thought it would be quicker/cheaper to go the web route = how wrong i was

Just to add to this = my sister has just told me I should use www.limewire.com = the biggest file sharing site on the net ?? is this safe and a trusted method ??

I'll get Mrs S to have a look - she uses iTunes to download her rubbish. If worse comes to worse - my folks have a record player and I have the relevant lead....

Cheers TT - I have looked into / used allofmp3.com in the past [ 1st russian site ] and they're extremely cheap ! But, their song choice/library is limited when it comes to OLD stuff

Checked with iTunes and they don't hold that album... neither does it seem they have the "Jean" track
