Without sounding too correct wouldnt the easiest fix be to put your seat belt on. With this you get the added bonus of not having to have serious surgery (If your lucky) when someone slams into you. I dont think anybody thinks you are any less of a man because you put a seat belt on. You could also disable disable the airbags if you want Smile

There are times when you dont want to wear seat belts for example, if green laning and you have to keep getting in and out to shut gates, but yes you are right you should wear them when driving on the road Thumbs Up some of my Previous cars

Yes, but the topic starter told us not to say that...

Seat Belts

Maybe not a topic everyone will agree with? But does anyone know how to stop the annoying seatbelt sound.. without the obvious wear your seatbelt comments? Thanks

I can't remember the exact detail, but it's something along the lines of. Put the seatbelt in and out 9 times and it will disable the seatbelt bong. You can then put your takeaway on the passenger seat without fear of throwing it out the window in a fit of rage! Wink

Ian - in addition to the green laning example, I found it was very useful to disable the passenger seat if you put stuff on there like a takeaway... the takeaway would be heavy enough to make the car think there was someone sitting on it and therefore bong away because you hadn't done the seatbelt up.

Obviously, we'd not condone driving without your seatbelt on Very Happy

I could be worse. I was in a toyota taxi last night and the beeps get faster and faster and louder and louder until you think the car is about to explode.

NOT SO!

For example - coming to work this morning - Belt on, but on the passenger seat was my suit jacket, newspaper & tie...... thats all .... and it was enough to set the beep off [ although not in mine as I have turned it off ] the red light remained on all the way to work .... si it would have bong'd me to death Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

It's pathetic !
