Imports

Evening all,

My search is now gathering pace for a new RRS.

Can anyone answer the question...What is the difference in spec with an import V6 HSE??

I know the "uk spec" should be the same but is it ,really?

Is there anyone on here with an import? Are there any drawbacks or problems?

Thanks Chaps

United Arab Emirates 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue

the most important difference is that you drive in UK on the right side and the steering is in the right side but all the world drivers drive on the correct direction which you can use the right hand to shift your gear ( I know Japanese and most poor Asian) follow UK stile but I tried both side driving position man left side driving is much enjoyable so make sure ur import car is Right hand drive that u can use it in UK Laughing 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Buckingham Blue, Ivory converted to HST Silver

PTI but no Bluetooth? Are you sure, E? Question How does the phone communicate with the car?

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Envoy's car is imported from Portugal, apparently they don't allow bluetooth out there. I'm sure Envoy explained why but I can't remember the exact reasons.

I have to admit it confused me too. I always thought that all vehicles with PTI were bluetooth enabled. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Oh yeah... I remember that coming up now you mention it.

I thought that even if you had a cradle - the actual communication with the car for getting the sound out of the speakers etc was still over BT. i.e. the cradle is only used for charging, address book synch and connection to the external aerial.

I get full intergration using the cradle and all the other things like steering wheel controls.

It was L/R that told my dealer that it was so, after the car had been back several times because it didnt work on BT, the Dealer even found the ECU in the rear, but said it was impossible to get it to work as it was designed that way in build.

At least thats what my dealer has told me

it really doesnt bother me as i have a dedicated phone for the car some of my Previous cars

Jay buys imports if Kam can't sort you out - he might be able to put you in touch with his broker?
