Ireland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Navigation DVD

YIW500200 is the DVD nav version thats supplied with my MY07 RRS. However that only contains the 205 Navteq database with quite poor coverage of Ireland. The 2006 navteq database has 100% coverage, any know if theres and upgrade soon. Strangly , on the Navteq shop, where they are selling the LR disk, they cant tell me whats in it!!! RRS HSE TDV8 Java black/Ebony interior, mud flaps,20" stormers, towing, roofrack, sunroof, cooler V8 Tasmods Sills, black badges, carstyling java black vents
Previously FFRR TD6 Metallic Grey

YIW500200 was released last September, and seems to have the the Q4 2005 maps. Q1 2006 is what has complete coverage. Here is a picture which shows the coverage of 500200. I would expect it will be next August/September when the new DVD is out, as that's when it's been for the last 2 years.

You should be getting complete full maps for around half the country, mostly the east half but with places like Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo etc as well.

Been told by my dealer that a new disk later then YIW500200 is in the process of being relaeased ( whatever that means). He says he has a partnumber for it, but currently he cant order it until its offically released ( this infor from LR Ireland). RRS HSE TDV8 Java black/Ebony interior, mud flaps,20" stormers, towing, roofrack, sunroof, cooler V8 Tasmods Sills, black badges, carstyling java black vents

Its definatly possible. The previous releases coincided with the new MY builds. MY08 is starting around 4 months early this year, so they may have a new DVD.

It was the same last year, we knew the part number for the (then) new DVD for around 2 months, but nobody could order it as LR wanted to use up their stocks of the old one before shipping the new ones.

I contacted Navteq and they responded that the next DVD update for the RRS (DENSO system) is scheduled for release December 2007 / January 2008. However the next update for the Range Rover (VDO Dayton Carin system) is due end of April.

I remember this thread too. Was it you brian , who said by getting the new disc - your 2006 RRS was now enabled to access SAT NAV on the move ?? the disc somehow updates the software system etc ???

Yes, guilty as charged MDP! The DVD did indeed update software, but I may've jumped-the-gun slightly as it only actually accesses previous destinations, not permits new destination input. Embarassed

The disc itself is the previously mentioned YIW500200, which is presently the latest version available. I shall be asking my Dealer to activate in-motion next week whilst being serviced! Thumbs Up MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

All dealers with the newer IDS releases do have the ability to enable destination entry on the move in any MY RRS/D3 that has the new YIW500200 DVD. However, some are known to refuse to do it on instruction from LR. I had it done on my D3 over a month ago, and it works perfectly. Smile

Apparently not if it's done at the same time as other work (ie service). We will see! Neutral MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Oh, that sounds ominous mate! Didnt think you were going to move for a TDV8 until all the nasty glitches were ironed out? Even so, it's still worth asking your stealer, he may not charge to install new unrestricted satnav software? Confused MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs
