Interesting on a previous page, I found this paragraph...

It now appears that Ford is attempting to address the Land Rover quality issues. It was reported in the Birmingham Post on 27 May 2004 that Ford's senior management have given the Land Rover plant 8 weeks to come up with a "road map" to address the quality issues at Land Rover and bring its competitiveness up to global standards in 5 years. Ford has threatened Solihull with closure unless significant improvements are realised, and with no replacement for the Jaguar X-type on the cards, it seems likely that there will be sufficient extra capacity at Halewood in the coming years to accommodate the entire Land Rover range"

Three years down the road from that statement, Land Rover are already level with, if not ahead of Jaguar quality levels. Jaguar were third in the JD Powers list at the time of the original statement. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

2006 JD powers results are based on vehicles built in late 2004/ early 2005. So the data is now 2 years out of date. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Part of the JD powers report that people do not report on very often is the Pride report. This shows Land Rover as one of the most desirable marques in the motor industry. In fact I think RRSport was number one last year. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Think you maybe referring to this TB....the APEAL rating. Sure does rate well in the catwalk contest. Unfortunately, the other end of the spectrum for the IQS and ohhhh, the Green rating .
