Actually, it is based around 308 (But substantially beefed & bulked up) of the era but was primarily designed as a racer. Sadly, the category was scrapped before it had a chance so just 272 were built as road going supercars of the time.

the latest Maseratti's do look amazing - a very tempting proposition IMO - very exclusive, fast and with all the Italian flare you could ever want - I felt Ferrari lost the plot after the 360

Angel,

I see two DB9's every day, plus have a neighbour (nearish) with a Gallardo - both great looking cars, however dare I say 'a bit common' - the maser however would be very few and far between - thats a big part of the attraction for me
