Bluetooth - releasing the phone

Does anyone else's bluetooth system hold onto the phone after you have switched off and left the car. This is a problem for me as the car is parked next to the house and it holds the phone for a good while, meaning any calls go to the car/speakers rather than the handset. I have yet to see if this is associated with the LandRover logo display on the dash but I know that this stays on for a while after leaving the car as well.

It is due to the fact that the car's BT module remains active after you have turned off & removed the key. Not sure how long this continues for (this length of time has been discussed often on here, because it's the same time that the Satnav screen stays lit for).... BT range is about 30 feet so as long as you remain within 30 ft of the car it'll answer "in the car" and not on your phone. It's inconvenient, but you might just need to unpair the phone when you head indoors... Confused

Yep, it's a problem. Also if you are walking to your car and talking on your phone. That annoys me more!

My phones (Nokia 3230) right hand button reverts to "Handset" when it detects a bluetooth connection. If you press that, it releases the bluetooth so you can you the phone. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

Because on my phone its:

"Menu"
"Settings"
"Connectivity"
"Bluetooth"
"Bluetooth On/Off"

and the reverse to switch it back on.

And my previous car with a Nokia kit worked fine. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

Umm. I see your point.

My 6320i is easy to switch off bluetooth. Which is just as well cos the so Censored ding battery doesn't last 5 mins Evil or Very Mad

Bring back the 6310. They lasted for days.

How about a car kit instead of bluetooth ?  SDV8 vogue SE.

I have the car cradle as well - so I could turn the bluetooth off, but its useful for when you forget to cradle the phone and it still pairs with the car.

I will just put up with it for now. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit
