differnces between an 06 and 07 hse?

This may seem like a fairly stupid question, but what are the main differences between an 06 and 07 model year hse range rover sport?

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Braveheart

I had an 06 HSE TDv6 and now have an 07 HSE TDv8. Apart from the engine ( Shocked ) the other changes are really quite minor, and off the top of my head, are as follows:

Different coloured interior wood trim (Rhodium finish still the same)

Clock now showing on main instrument console as well as by radio

No start up "ding" just a seconds pause first thing when the key won't fire the ignition circuit
Soft close rear hatch

19" alloys are a slightly different design and a bit lighter

19" tyres are now Goodyear Wrangler F1's (a different "V" groove tread pattern)

Sat Nav on the move function enabled

Dynamic response no longer standard on HSE (but is on TDv8) although I might be wrong in thinking it was previously standard - pretty sure it was after about April 2006 when they put through a big price hike and masked it by bundling Dynamic at no extra charge

TDv8 specific changes are, I think, the front grill is the silver finish type (as used on Supercharged) but with a green Landrover badge. All other landrover badges are green except the wheel centres which have black landrover logos. TDv8 gets Adaptive Cruise Control (which is pointless) as standard.

Some additional options, such as hybrid TV

There are probably some other minor changes that I have missed, but someone will be along soon to list them.

Oh, and my dealer mentioned last week that from May 2007 build onwards the HSE gets a slightly upgraded interior trim with softer leather on dash and better quality plastic finishes. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Unnecessary quote removed

Yes you are correct. It does say in brochure Dynamic is a cost option on the TDV6, all the others its included (and It was standard on all for a while).
Telly is a £500 option.......not sure its worth that. Having seen one in action I wasn't that impressed. Anyway I've got a telly at home.

TB, Have you heard anything about an interior trim upgrade Question Bow down TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

not between 06 and 07.

If you're thinking about buying brand new now, you will be getting a MY 08 model, not 07

I was thinking about buying a new HSE this week, can't quite stretch to a V8.

Well my 07 HSE (3 days old) has Dynamic Response (or at least it has the Dynamic Response Fluid Reservoir under the bonnet and it has fluid in it!)

It looks as if the specifications have gone wrong on the website and in some documents.

The other areas in which the lastest website updates are wrong are:

Full Size Spare on 19" wheeled HSEs (standard - listed as a "lightweight" spare.
Automatic Air Conditioning (standard - listed as an option)
Brembo Brakes (standard - listed as an option)

I had a panic last minute check with the dealer after seeing the website updated - but it was all ok in the end. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

This is what's confused the hell out of me. Going to have to speak to a dealer tomorrow. But you reckon the dynamic response pack is standard, with standard brembo's and fridge, and auto air con. Does that also mean it will come with 20inch wheels and adaptive headlights as standard??

I didnt say V8, I said MY 08, the new RRS spec as of April this year.

If you're buying new your car will be 2008 spec, not 2007 spec - see the sticky in the 'General' forum

sorry, i appreciate what you said, I mentioned V8 in respect to what smarticus had said. didn't mean to quote you. should have jus pressed "REPLY"

I have have read the sticky in the general forum, but that doesn't help too much in regards to the brembo/20' wheel etc scenario.

Mine is a factory spec 07- some dealers are upping this themselves. So the 19" wheels and Brembo are standard on the 07 model, but some dealers upgrade the wheels to 20inch making them "standard" 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

"Does that also mean it will come with 20inch wheels and adaptive headlights as standard??"

Nope it has dynamic response incl Brembos but not the dynamic "pack" ie no fancy lights or big wheels- a little naughty!

Drives seat has electric lumbar and a front map pocket thingy.

The instrument cluser has also been updated and looks a little more "grown up" (?)

Get the wheels upgraded as the 19" ones are not very flattering!
