Martin - yep honestly - just got an SLR Digi camera connected to a telescope - the moon fills the natural magnification of the telescope hence its clipped |

Does a digital SLR operate in the same way as a normal SLR camera, except the obvious exception some of my Previous cars

basically yes - SLR means Single Lens Reflection (or something like thats) which relates to the way in which the light/image is capture - D-SLR just means its captured digitally rather than on film - my understanding anyway |

i used to do quite a bit of photography using a Minolta SPXI with several zoom lens, and filters, unfortunately it was stolen along with my LR110 a few years back, i have been contemplating buying a digital SLR but technology has moved on so fast i haven't and i haven't kept up, as time permits i shall look around for one and hopefully get back in to it.

not knowing the market at all does anyone have any suggestions as to a reasonable priced all round DLSR camera, nothing to fancy some of my Previous cars
