Actually thats not true. For example my 5 series is insurance group 16. I'm 18 today and they have no problem.
For me insured on the TD6 FFRR Vogue under my own policy is £3000 per annum. Thats group 15. The TD6 RRS is group 13 and so there will be no problem getting insured.
A good friend of mine is insured on his dads FFRR S/C.

Anyway...good choice mate Michael Potter

Most 18 yr olds would say that £3k a year for insurance makes it a problem Wink When I was 18, my car didn't even cost me £3k, let alone insuring it.

I drove around in my sisters cars - a knackered Mini and a Fiat Panda Fantasia Shocked (bright green with a double sunroof Wink ) - didn't buy myself a car until I left Uni at 21 - then insurance still cost me over £800 on a Peugeot 306 1.4L (L standing for Limp)

And it was a knackered old Sierra for me, I think... or was it a Hyundai Stellar? I had one of those too... Embarassed Insurance did cost more than the car often... Sad
