Yes ENVOY you might be right.
Thanks for the comments. That really inspires me. Would you not think that after my late Father, a farmer, and myself having gone through about 9 Range Rovers and some Land Rover's and 2 Disco's I would have learnt some sense by now.
I must have that little bug inside me.

Two quite separate Steering Vibrations in the RRS;

1) One is the wheel shimmy that is like out of balance wheels. The TSB that Umberto mention addresses this problem.

2) The other is as PaulB previously mentioned, a driveline vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel. Basically feels like harmonic whirring through the steering wheel on gear changes and when engine is under load (at least on mine anyway). There is no current TSB on this and LR are investigating on a case by case basis. My car has been in for 45 days now getting this problem sorted.

Oh and yes, my car has 1) as well Crying or Very sad

My 2) was resolved with a bunch of new driveline components, but 1) is still driving me nuts. LR changed the front wheels and tyres two weeks ago and all was ok for about a week. Like everyone else has experienced, it's back and probably worse than before.

I'm really getting the jack with this car, one thing after another Banging Head .LR are calling on Monday, so words will be had Evil or Very Mad

Has anybody had the Hunter Road Force thingy in the LR Tech note done with success? RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

Hi All,
Has anyone been provided a solution? My MY07 TDV6 has the steering vibration problem as others have described. I bought it as a demo with 4000km on the clock. I was going to have it looked at with the 12000km service but am wondering if I should have it looked at sooner.
thanks,
Anthony

Sure have! Tell them to put the upgraded steering rack in....works a treat! I had everything done on mine to get rid of the problem and the steering rack sorted it out and the problem has not come back. There is a tech note on the issue, but I am in Phuket at the moment so it is not handy. Can send it to you when I get back. I find it is best to walk into your dealer armed with the info. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

Just get the steering rack upgrade, trust me it works. I had my wheels balanced 5 or 6 times including the RFV method and nothing fixed it until I got the new steering rack. Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof
