''The spare wheel had never been used so was fitted correctly and no they were after the whole wheel as the spare is a normal alloy!''

Oh ok. I had a flat on my last RRS and mine wasn't. I seem to remember it was an ugly black space saver tyre. The dealer must have changed it when he fitted my stormers.

Sorry. HH Driving - TDV8 HSE in Stornaway / Ebony / Brunel
Sold - 56 TDV8 HSE in Java Black EBONY/RHODIUM/PRIVACY GLASS
Sold - 05 TDV6 HSE BONATTI/BLACK/RHODIUM 20''STORMERS, PTI AND FACTORY TINT.

hi
i know a fair few things about RR sports and also know of a spare wheel stolen from underneath a few weeks ago in the essex area.

quite interstingly though, was a my 07 car TDV6 HSE with 20" wheels but spare wheel is a 19" alloy painted black ! also checked on my car which is an 07 md year with 20" factory fitted supercharged alloys, not dealer fit and they only fit 4 20" alloys at factory not 5, leaving the 5th wheel a 19" black alloy....

just for ur info !

Was anything cut to remove it?

Would have thought if the cradle was tight it would be very hard to remove the wheel.

Always worth a check on Ebay for wheels and tyres, I picked up 5 unused 19" RRS alloys with tyres for £675, which meant that I do have real spare.......must admit I did think that all ex-factory spares were steel! .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

And to make matters worse my wife has just filled it with unleaded .. luckily she realised after putting £25 of unleaded in the car and didnt even turn the key so hopefully its a quick fix ... our dealer has just told me £500 .... but if she had driven it would be more like £6000

Saw the result of one that was filled and driven....total pull down at the dealers and $A9000 later Whistle !! Apparently insurance does cover it though. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof
