Kaine, thanks downloaded. It does seem faster when browsing and going from 1 site to another.

Jay there are still a few websites that cannot run on Firefox. I have had a lot less problems with viruses and so on since I started using FF about 3 years ago. Don't know what might be causing your PC problems - have you tried down laoding PC Tools software called Registry Mechanic and also Spyware Doctor.
Sincs un-installing Norton's bundle of junk that PC World/Sony supplied with my laptop I have been using the following software and have had no problems whatsoever:
PC Tools Registry Mechanic
PC Tools Spyware Doctor
PC Tools Privacy Guardian
WinPatrol
SpyBot Search and Destroy
and the full blown subscription Grisoft AVG with firewall

They are all available for free trial download, but after running them for a while I upgrades to the full version of them all.

The only time I use ie these days is when I want to open my hotmail email account which automatically opens ie when I receiev a link to a website or posting. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Sounds like you have a virus Jay......................... or has your bro enable parental protection for the computers and added all Martin's forums Rolling with laughter

Have you tried downloading and running Spybot Search and Destroy Jay. Several folks I know who have had slow running problems and not been able to access a few websites jave been able to get into them after run it. It takes a while to run but seems to be very thorough at removing bugs. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
