Those horrible houses

Why oh why do people do their houses up with enough christmas lights to light half a small town? There are 2 houses on the A3 on either side of the road that seem to compete with each other to see who can waste the most electricity (I'm sounding light Robin Sunpoer!) Personally I hate these simply because it's an accident waiting to happen. Rant over! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Bah humbug, my 6 and 2 year old love 'em. It means I don't have to have them on my house too!

Don't they reckon that house that caught fire and killed all 5 inside (Mum, Dad and 3 kids) was possibly to do with overeager Xmas lights? I agree they're a bit over the top, but as long as I don't live opposite one of them I don't think it's too bad.

VA,
A couple of lefty councils are considering a future ban on such displays, alledgedly, on safety grounds. I'm sure others will follow....and eventually ban Christmas alltoghether, that's the way we're going. Sad Sad

Safety is an issue especially when I'm driving on the A3. Every night someone slows down from 50mph to about 20mph so that the kids can have a look - IT WILL CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT SOON! Anyone who drives on the A3 near Tolworth should be able to back me up. BAh Humbug! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I'll back you up VA,
we seem to agree again!
Definately an accident going to occur, completely irresponsible actions from mindless selfish people.....not to mention offence it causes other Religions.

At this rate Vera you'll be down for a t-shirt too. What size are you?
