Just got TDV6 HSE

Hello All

Just picked up last week an 55 Plate TDV6 HSE RRS in Black. Everything seems fine apart from the previous owner seems to have put a Supercharged Badge on the rear. Need to take this off as its not and looks daft IMO.
Is there anything I should be aware of in the Car or any tips people can give me.

Also Would a remap increase the MPG or decrease them at an alarming rate

Cheers

Thumbs Up

Congrats on your new toy, Matt Very Happy

You can gently remove the SC badge with dental floss and a hairdryer.

Beware of people looking at you as you drive along your local high street, after nearly 2 yrs on the market the RRS still turns heads Thumbs Up

Remaps purport to deliver an increase in MPG. Have a chat with JE Engineering or TurboChip - both of which are sponsors of this forum! Very Happy

Thanks people.

Could anyone also recommend a Cycle Rack for the RRS

Have a look at this thread, Matt... it's from while ago but might still be relevant:

I recommend the Thule 947 - google it and you'll get plenty back - it tilts, is towbar mounted lockable integral lights etc etc. It has little vehicle interaction, sits behind rather than on top, and when you don't need it you can remove all trace including the tow bar. Not inexpensive but well worth it - also folds flat to hang when not in use.

Hi Matt Thumbs Up

Remaps make the engine more efficient so wont diminish mpg, only improve it, together with smoother and more positive power delivery. Worth the cash, apparently takes 2-2.5 secs off 0-60. Cool

Funny you should mention that Josh. I took the "HSE" badge off mine and considered a "Supercharged" replacement, especially with my four-pipe exhaust and remapped performance. However, I still think a blank space below the "Sport" badge is probably the sensible option (I have seen others exactly the same)!? Thumbs Up

Not certain what badge the others should have Envoy but I'm sure they'll all have a different one relating to specific model (where's TB when you need him)? Confused
