LR Experience Invite

Hi Guys,

I recieved in the post today an invite from LR for half a day to take the RRS offroad at one of the experience centres.
I was just wondering if anyones been on one of these and what they think to them? Also one other thing the RRS includes an on-road experience bit - is it just like a test drive?

What do you need to take anything with you?

Did it a Milton Keynes in the summer, a complete non-event, but with lots of mud and water it is probably a much better experience.

It took about 45 minutes from start to finish..... .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

It should be all afternoon or morning. I took a FFRR TDV8 out we had an hour or so on road and then an hour or so off road. They are fine as a taster, to sell you a car, but if you have one and want to learn how to drive it off road book to do your level one.

i got a little box book thing, in black the other day, opened it and its an LR invite thing asking me to ring a number to come and enjoy the full fat RR, need to ring it to see what it is.. guessing it may be to test the TDV8 RR or an offroad thingy..

I upgraded mine to the full day at Milton keynes,

If I had stuck with the free half day I would have been disappointed, but at the end of the morning everyone else went home and I had the car, site and instructor to myself. Spent a fab few hours doing level 1 etc. excellent!

These half-day jobbies are fine. Don't expect anything overly challenging though. In the old days, when you got a free half-day thrown in with your purchase, extending it to the full day was a no-brainer. You got to do so much more in the second half... watch out for the magnetic trees! Laughing

Yes, you will need to. And take some warm clothes, rubber soled shoes too.

The centre should provide the coffee and bacon sarnies!
