Phone PDA?

Guys just a quick question,
my cousin in pakistan has asked me to buy him a new phone pc pda thingy.
I don't have a clue about these, whats the latest best phone out there,
Have been having a look at HP website,

HP iPAQ hw6515 Mobile Messenger starting from £ 369 Ex. VAT
HP iPAQ h6340 Pocket PC price £ 332 Ex. VAT

Any ideas or suggestions?
Whats this blackberry thing everyone seems to be using nowadays?

I only know about Blackberry's. Great for receiving emails and using as a normal phone. It Has normal callenders address book etc but I don't use these. I think it can sync with standard pc software but as I use a mac I don't. Nice and small though. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

different phone pdas are usually geared towards different uses. pocket pc pdas tend to be very good in terms of the software and uses u can hav on them (such as gps sat nav, watchin movies etc) but their phone functionality is usually not so good and tend to be the more bulky.

i use an imate jam which is a nice compact pda phone on pocket pc does all the things i need it to do well.

might want to consider the Se p990i thats coming or just come out. my colleague has just ordered one from new zealand for about £230 i think.

check out reviews here:

Thanks guys,
That P990 looks excellent on the reviews, and seems to have absolutely everything..
I had a P800 back in the day, and that seemed to do everything at the time, too many functions for my needs though, and the bulkiness did my head in. The bluetooth didn't work in my Bmw's so i ended up getting rid of it on trusty ebay, anyone know if the P990 and P910i etc work in the RRS?
