United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

The review for the Nokian tyres says it all. I think they are absolutely brilliant on snow and ice (and grass) but then I have never tried the Pirellis.

Tyre producer from Finland, quality product in mid price segment, specialist in winter tyres
WR sport utility 275/40 R20 106V XL
Winter tyres M+S marking

Test results

The Nokian WR is the strongest adhesion tyre in the world which, above everything, was specially designed for the weather conditions of central Europe. The Nokian WR can run on snowy roads as well as it can on wet roads.
And it can accomplish a very good driving comfort on dry roads too.
The angle of the profile grooves is specific for every size, so that it can have an adequate driving behaviour and be effective against aquaplanning.
The new bearing surface of the Nokian WR is designed for high demands.
The progressive HAKA-lamellas preserve the tyre's characteristics during the entyre use of the tyre.
The internal and external tyre noise are both low and pleasant.

I think most of the main manufacturers produce tyres for the 20" rims. It's really a case of finding the right type to suit your own personal driving requirements, which, as you can tell, is not always completely successful? Neutral

Perhaps one day soon the tyre manufacturers will make some decent tyres for the 20" wheels.

Are Michelin Diamaras no good?

Michelin don't make 20" in our size. I see Pirelli now give a couple of options in the right size. Any one tried them Question TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Only had Conti's and Firestones on mine. Contis were well worn so be unfair to comment, but the new F1's seem ok? Question
