2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

Some thoughts:

- Do you want the contest to continue or is it a one time thing.
- If continue, how about the winner organizes the next one.
- Shall we keep the subject open or do you prefer something specific each time.
- Any thoughts / suggestions on how to post the entries together. This will help voting/tallying of the votes.

Do you have any suggestion(s), let's hear them please.

1. Certainly worth continuing with the idea, but I would suggest a gap of a few months to renew people's interest and also to allow for the potential of new members having joined in that time.

2. Seems a lot of folk are interested in the topic of showing off photography skills, but this thread has shown that other subjects might like to be approached. I'd say we have the choice of keeping it automotive-centric, or spreading to a wider arena - landscapes, still life etc.

3. Once this competition closes, one of us mods can collate the relevant winnings pics into a locked topic. This easily shows readers who won whilst filtering out the background noise of the competition in progress, like this thread. Let us know when you need that to happen - but please don't expect it to be done immediately, it may take a short while and some liaison with yourself to ensure the operation runs smoothly.

Just my 2p... I'm no photography expert Very Happy

Hi Shoogle,

1- Good idea there. We could have it, say, every quarter.

2- I think it will always be about our cars. What I was thinking/asking is whether people would like a specific subject each time, like...off-roading or the car is moving or the car in the highway. Things like that.

3- Thanks. Is it possible to have all photos of this contest together, not just the winners. How about somebody make a folder in the gallery section and the contestants load their entries there. What do you think mods.

I would suggest that this runs for 2007 giving us the chance to produce a calender. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Great idea, love it! that would be great. I will definitely buy that calender or two.

To make it run for the whole year, however, is a bit long. How about having 4 contests this year. The top 5 or 10 photos will make it to the calender.

What do you think.

Not meaning to be dim, but we'd need at least 12 photos for an RRS calendar Wink Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Actually Martin, I think we need a lot more than 12. Unless the calender has only 1 photo per month, which, personally wouldn't recommend.

Edit: to clarify, calenders usually have 1 featured photo each month (often put at the back of last month's card) + 1 or more around the dates of that month. That's why we need a lot of photos. In addition, it will be great if more people have their photos shown in the calender.

1 pic per month is the norm for car type calendars i have seen.. but see how many pics come out of this comp and then judge whether there are 12 or more suitable for the calendar... could stick in shots of the pimp mobile? wherever it now rests in peace! Big Cry
