If i were you i would make sure that the car is well and truly locked away and blocked in over the weekend, you never know, it may be a mistake but then again.  some of my Previous cars

Hmmm, that really IS worrying. Hopefully a clerical error by the -sha gers at Swansea, or something a bit more sinister. Definitely get on the blower to DVLA and register your concern. Good Luck!

In the absence of being able to contact the useless sh*ts at Swansea (I have story too) I would be tempted to drop in your nearest Police Station (if its not shut) and see if they can do anything, such as verify you still have the vehicle or similar.

My story is a simple one - I made the GRAVE ERROR of swapping plates on my D3 within 10 weeks of needing to tax the car. Why is 10 Weeks important you ask? Well that is how long in advance the DVLA print the Tax Renewal letters. And they won't do you another one either if you ring them up? You're instructed to take the enw V5C and all relevant paperwork (relating to old reg, new reg, transfer receipt etc) with you to the Post Office. And hey guess what? When you tax your car like this, you can only do it TWO days before it expires not the normal 15 days you get with a Renewal Letter
