Only if someone phoned you up and asked you to find 20p for them.

These sourcers that charge you for something you could quite easily do yourself with a bit of effort are from the same species as estate agents if you ask me.

I never pay and would never charge for finding a car! if we get offered something early before list, we always offer it out at list.. we're not in the business of sourcing cars.. its easy enough to do for yourself as Shmoogle says, ring around.. say you want to buy NOW, and some dealer somewhere will have one in stock.

As wokkaman, he asked me for a TT, and as far as i knew no Audi dealers we work with had any, quoting between 3-5 months for delivery.. then when pushed Audi Bham suddenly had a silver one which we nabbed immediately, a blue one and another silver one which were coming off the boat next week! plenty of cancelled orders around.

My brother in law cancelled his TDV8 from perry's luton, and someone was reallocated the car immediately.. so there are loose orders out there, or worst case ex demos which you can swindle some off list.

I know of one black with ivory, being offered at list HSE with privacy which we could probably get for say £51,500 if pushed..

To be honest I am not really interested I was only trying to be of help.
I have already posted hear to say I was not charged one penny for the service of finding my vehicle. They were paid a finders fee by the dealer.
For me it worked fine at NO COST TO ME.

Someone asked a question I replied with my experience.

Good for you then, John! Thumbs Up But findmyrangerover do normally charge the end user that fee, which I think is a pi**take. They're not actually providing any value other than saying, "oh, look, there's one!"

I apreciate what you are saying but we now live in a country that only has a service industry.

There are many everyday services that we also pay for in a similar way such as Travel agents where bokking yourself online will save you 10%. Why are travel agents still in a job?
I think some of the comments above are unfair but as I have no real interest I am not too bothered.

Findmyrangerover has contacts I do not have and when spending £50k £500 is nothing to have the car in a week rather than wait 3 months or in my case 6 months.

It's a principle thing, I suppose. Very Happy

The travel agent doesn't tell you he has just the holiday you want but will only release the details when you pay him £500 Wink The same result can easily be had through using brokers that don't charge you a finder's fee - they all have the same visibility of the dealer channel at the end of the day.

Still, as you say, it worked for you and you didn't have to pay the fee yourself so job well done! Very Happy

All I can say is If you dont want to pay for service then get off your backside and do the job yourself.
