Considering changing to RR Sport ...

and advice welcomed. May either swap my M3 SMG or E 220 cdi esate. Fancied a change - love the looks of it. Can anyone offer positives about dealers in the Derbyshire area (give or take) and also feedback on reliability compared to the usual big 3 / 4? Just found the site - great.

Key thing are the pedals offset in any way? Mercs are a nightmare for it - on my 6th now over the years. All have been the same.

Swap both and get 2 RRS'!!!

Dont think, just do it.
The car is brilliant in doesel form, has to be even better with the supercharged 4.2 draging you to the garage for fuel Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Seriously the RRS is a great car - it can be a beast when you need a bit of muscle - it can be a pussy cat when you feel superior, which is what I feel most of the time. The other plus is that your wife will love you forever if you buy this car. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Bin the Merc and keep the M3 for speed, and get the TDV6 HSE, kit it up with a few options, make sure you get the Dynamic Response pack (better handling, Brembo brakes and 20" alloys) You can carry more in the RRS than the Merc and it looks SOOOO much better!

I sold my M5 and got the 4.2 Supercharged version, and I love it.

Agree with the above..
M3 for speed, RRS TDV6 for the stylish load lugger.. will look so much better next to the M3 then the E class estate!
I came from a string of Bmw's too, and was a bit worried about going from such familiarity to a bit of unchartered territory for me (when it comes to dealers and aftermarket support) but usually most fixes can be found on this forum, and i have only been back to the dealer once so far!

Ditto all of the above - funny how there seem to be a few M3 owners joining the dark and shady world of the drug dealer (otherwise known as the RRS owner!). I wish I could have kept my M3 too - I'd have the perfect garage then!

Heh... I can match you on the spare beer fridge, but the only time I have a Fireblade in the garage is when my bike-mad brother visits

err - my husband will love me!

No mention of any weird offsets on the pedals and any relisbaility niggles?

I use a Trophy for trackdays so hence the possibility of letting the M3 go - loved as it is - as its of course by the far the most expensive to insure.

Haven't investigated the RRS yet tho?

Hi Wavers,

Sounds like you're going through the same series of thoughts as we are. Current car M3 convertible and looking to change to a RRS Jan/Feb next year.
Going for a test drive this weekend to see just how good it is to drive.

After getting rid of the M3, I might have to buy another ZX6R for the performance demon in us all.

GMH let me know what you think if thats ok? ZX6R was there when the original came out 'N' plate i think mine was Silver with Black checks - good bike made the CBR feel like a tourer i remember!

the 636 feels more comfortable than my old cbr 600 could not believe how comfy it was as it was described in the press as extreme sports when it first came out mark
