I ordered at the end of December and was told last week that it would not be here late March / early April as they first thought. At this stage they are not able to confirm a month but it will me May at the earliest |

Landlord - what did you think of it after your test drive ? In 4 days, I have already got used to the extra power and it would be interesting to jump back into my old TDv6 to compare and contrast again...... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

It's the TDV8 that is suffering from long lead times - you chaps don't have to worry about diesel engines 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? Then Donate to RRSPORT!! |

Unfortunately didn't really test drive it for long enough. However could tell it was much quicker from standstill without the dreaded delay. The power and delivery felt very similar to the 4.4 FFRR and acceleration was much better than the TDV6. The TDV8 is also fitted with 20" wheels as standard which does make the ride that bit more firm. My only concern is where do you stop. Yes would have one tomorrow, however the amount of miles I am travelling the slight increase in fuel consumption puts me off at the moment. As an example completed 1050 miles since last Saturday, various driving, motorways, town, lanes etc and managed an average 28.8mpg. The TDV8 is a great engine, makes the RRS come alive but cant quite justify getting one just yet. However the temptation may just be too much as the year goes on ! when I discussed this with a mate who works in leasing, he could see on his system about 15 TDV8s available for March delivery.
