Brother in Law's Disco3 broke down on the M42 on Friday. His electronic park brake stuck on.

Welcome to the forum Vishalmak - I was ready to swing an axe at mine when I first had it - but that was many moons ago now & the love affair has blossomed.

What I would say is the LR Assist have always given me what I needed, for example, boxing day in my D2, 7 peeps onboard, luggage in a roof box AND a towbar rack en route to Gatwick, lost coolant due to burst fuel cooler hose on M25, car and peeps recovered straight away, peeps and luggage droped at Gatwick in time for flight, car recovered to Marshalls in Melton for repair. On return LR Assist provided a Chrysler Voyager to get us home and back to the repaired D2, note no single LR car would have done as you can't do 7+luggage in any single one and hire Co's don't do roof boxes and tow bar racks.....so they get my vote on fixing the transport issues I had at the time and not simply replacing (even) like with like.... My understanding was that the Enterprise agreement was with Mondial, who operate the LR-branded recovery service (BMW Emergency Service is also Mondial backed) which explains why you don't get a like for like car. When one of the shocks broke on mine, I ended up with a Renault Megane which was a hateful piece of engineering. Utter crap.

When I had a Freelander and it broke down, Land Rover Assistance arrangede a Massive Volvo D5 V70 for me. Brand spanking, fast as f^% and the inside must have used a herd of cows to cover it in leather. Didnt want to give it back once the freelnader was fixed.
