New G4 RRS Owner, & First Question/Query ??

Evening all,

First off, Great Site, load of info etc,

Have just become the new owner of a G4 RR Sport, and will no doubt have some question, which I am sure somebody here will know the answers (Please)

I presume, when the G4's left Landrover, the top lamps and winch were disabled ?? as both not working, Have sorted the top lamps, (they disconnect two of the terminal ends in the r.h side box with the abs pump in Smile )
But before I search further, does anyone know how the killed the winch ??

TIA

Regards TJ

TJ101 - I am so jealous of you. I'm afraid I'm not sure how the winch is disconnected but shouldn't be too difficult to figure out, I would start by looking at the winch itself to see if there is a supply. Did the G4 come with MTR's? Which competitors car was it? WE WANT SOME PICTURES! Enjoy! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I think the owner of the G4 D3 (on Disco3.co.uk) has the same issue with the winch.
It may be worth 'comparing notes' as he has had his a while now.
There will also be another G4 D3 joining the ranks next week.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome, Wink

Ok, will sort some pictures out, and post up ASAP, VA, yep seen a few of your post, or rather other members ribbing you a little re the G4 Laughing not got to the bottom of the full story yet !! The car was the Turkish/Italians chariot, The G4 is already booked for a trip to the Pyrennes in a few months !!

Has anyone else on the forum got one ??

Ok, will have a search on the DISCO3 site, for some pointers, there must be a master switch somewhere, which activates the solenoid, down behind the battery !

Only other issue at the moment is the active cruise control, or rather the lack off !! comes up with "Cruise not available" or words to that effect,, booked into the local stealer for that one !!

The cruise control might be off because of the winch! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
