My dealer has replaced the entire wiper unit/arm - they say that its the arm itself that's at fault - not having enough spring/retention pressure on the screen.

MDP, your dealer seems to be the only one who has managed to figure out how to solve that problem and you would make a lot of people happy if you could give us another hint or two. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

..... according to my dealer there is no new improved wiper arm unit/assembly available for the RRS and he's therefore not willing to replace mine under warranty.

Sure has cured mine though. I can only presume that the original "arms" were not operating correctly with enough tension - allowing the wipers to lift at speed...???

I had the same issue, I have since emptied & re-filled the washer bottle with a lubricated washer fluid which seems to have done the trick, its only from Halfords, I cant say its totally curred but if i get a squeek I give it a little blast & the noise stops. It seems to be getting better also as the blades are getting more lubricated. I will post again in a few weeks with udate. |

Well I happened to be in an Auto store today and saw a pair of Rainx lattitude's. They are very similar to the OEM wiperblades as they are not metal framed. It hasn't rained yet, but when I tested them with washer fluid, they didn't make any noise. I had to pay $19.99 for each blade which is still a bargain compared to Land Rover's price. I looked at RainX's website and couldn't find them either. Maybe you guys on the other side of the pond should check by your local autostore. IDK what they are there but I found mine at "PepBoys."
