Talking about speed cameras..
M dads got a nice fresh NIP waiting for him in his post..
Wll chuck it under his nose as soon as he arrives, as he likes doing that to me when i get them through!! hehe..

Talking about contesting them, and asking for evidence etc, this was a fixed position yellow box camera, how do u get the pics through for these?

It would be a rear flashing camera, can't believe he got flashed by it, its round the corner from our house!!

Yeah, that's pretty careless! All the more reason for you to gloat at your Dad, Kam! Laughing

In the supporting gumph that comes with the NIP it should either provide you with the photos or send you to the regional safety unit's website where you can view your criminal activity on the big screen! Otherwise it will be a case of asking them to provide the evidence manually.

Become a boring fart like me and drive within the speed limit, it's much cheaper and you have great fun holding up all the reps who cannot drive at less than 90 everywhere they go and never seem to get done.
You can set an alarm for a speed limit in the RRS trip computer - set it for 27mph..............
25 years of driving and I have only ever had one ticket, for parking in a residents parking bay and that was in the days when the fine was about £10........ is there a smiley for an angel with a halo? Laughing This getting old is great fun you know, only another year and I'll be able to join SAGA and get a free Stannah Stairlift, a special bath with a door in the side on the cheap and a panic attack alarm............. possibly even a special label for in the car that will allow me to park dangerously wherever I want, if I can persuade the doctor that my legs are giving out Laughing (might have to give up the windsurfing and mountainbiking before he'll believe me though, especially as his wife goes windsurfing and biking with me!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Take a look at

www.motordefenceteam.co.uk

They specialise in 'identity cases' as you have a right to see the photographic evidence and most camera partnerships will not supply this without a fight and usually CPS will drop the case Wink

I have only had two of those VA, neither involved another car or writing off my own. Both happened in the same winter on the same stretch of snowbound road and on ice about 3 months apart. I don't drive that road into town any more in the winter. That was when I found that a Ford Fiesta cannot swim as on the first "crash" I spun on ice and went through a bridge parapet into a stream, fortunately not that deep a stream or a large drop on the other side of the parapet, but it didn't do the car's suspension much good! The 2nd one was much less dramatic and resulted in me sliding backward off the road through a hedge into a rather nice garden, which I then started to rip up rying to get the car back up the rather step slope it was on! The owners came out and helped get the car onto their drive and then onto the road but then whacked in a claim for rather a lot of damage to their bowling green lawn (really a paddock) and flower beds full of rare and exotic plants (weeds to you and me!). Still had the car not come to a halt where it was I would have ended up in their front room and that would have cost Direct Line an awful lot more to repair Embarassed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim apart from my well documented £20,000 RRS crash I've written off a MX5 on the A3 when a police women spun on an inside lane and crossed into my lane - she tried to blame me but she lost. I wrote off a mini 1275 gt in a country lane when I was 18 (my fault). A Ford capri Embarassed died due to be hitting a bridge in torrential rain (my fault). Various other small dents which have been the other parties fault Laughing 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

To go with my 6 points - I've had only one crash that was my own fault. Haring through country lanes two weeks after I passed my test at 17 so I thought I was the perfect driver of course. Ended up losing an argument with a tree and someone's front garden wall. Two others where I have been in rear shunts... one at some traffic lights waiting for them to go green when an idiot behind me just didn't stop and another in typical south London traffic, someone pulled out too close to the car in front of me. I managed to stop before hitting him, but the guy behind me wasn't so lucky. Wrote off my lovely Hartge 5-series conversion due to replacement parts for the rear quarters being too expensive...
