2005 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 SE Cairns Blue

power upgrade

has anyone had the maindealer so called power upgrade where they re map the ECU to give another 45BHP?
Has anyone had this done?
Is it what it says on the tin?
Has fuel econamy improved?

Don't know about the dealer offer but

I've had JE tune mine, it certainly gets rid of the typically "poor throttle response/what gear should I be in" hesitation you can get exiting roundabouts, very smooth and good power/torque upgrade.

Don't think any dealer would offer a "Landrover" tune so perhaps they are simply reselling one of the aftermarket tunes??? Cheers

Why would LR want to sell engine tunes when they've spent countless hours developing and testing the vehicle to what they think is the best compromise anyway! And, my Sport has had at least two engine ECU upgrades by the dealer that each time has resulted in better performance and fuel economy. For some reason the 3rd and latest one resulted in better performance and worse economy! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Exactly but this seems to be the dealer, not LR. After all Ford dealers used to flog Janspeed turbo kits on Fiestas in the 80's!!! Cheers

Lots of the bigger dealers sell upgrades, one was certainly sell TC upgrades at a much higher cost.
