Last December I participated to a local Dipped in Green weekend, organized by "Off roading extraordinaire" Adam Spiker (Offroving.com.) What an exhilarating blast that excursion was! The area is Wildomar OHV, near Lake Elsinore. Thought I'd share some pictures:

The USA is weird place weatherwise at the moment.................. Midwest has disappeared under the biggest dumps of snow ever recorded and New Yorkers have been sunbathing on the beaches as it was 22C there at the weekend and the vendors sold out of ice-cream! Normally it's just hovering above freezing and damp and horrid there at this time of the year............... better not tell the folks over on the greenpeace forums, they'll blame it on 4x4 drivers. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

You should see the weather in January... We are in the middle of a heat wave, no rain in sight, 85 degrees F and warm Santa Ana winds! Some mansions in Malibu went up in smoke last night because of it.

...and not just the USA either, a colleague of mine came back from Xmas in Abu Dhabi yesterday and apparently had similar weather to here - cold and rainy.... by all accounts, should have been sunny and a good 15C warmer. 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? Not just the Emirates....friends just got back from their holiday in Aqaba, had to postpone their visit to Petra...the roads were blocked for three days with snow I''m okay...our CEO just asked me to visit one of our properties in South Africa...no snow there. I'm heading off at the end of Feb with my mountain bike (the RRS won't fit in the overhead bin ) - got a weekend of riding through the vineyards planned 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge |

No MTRs here... Those are 18s (Pathifinder ATs by a local tyre chain called America's Tire, they are cheap rubbers but they do a good job O/R and are very quiet on pavement.) In the picture below the wheels were so wedged and squeezed into that rut, that as I stopped it looked as if the left front tire was completely flat. I had to get out of the car to check it out for myself! I wonder what would have happened to a 20" stock rim, let alone my Cargraphics.
