VA - I'd be wary of a dealer smoke screen. This is clearly a warranty issue so at the least it should be replaced with a new unit since it may safely be assumed that LR are not currently delivering cars that only play two of six DVD's.

I'd try a different dealer and verify or disprove the claim - heaping heavily if being spun a lie (which i'd suspect). Other players aren't doing it, still delivering it....... dealer@cannotbebothered.com .......... |

Well said guys, the whole bug thing sounds fishy... You can also go back to the dealer and ask them to refund 2/3 of the cost of your RSE unit until they "figure out the bug", since you are only able to use 1/3 of it right now. They can have their money back when they fix it. |

OK so it's not being fitted right now but it seems to say that existing installations should be honoured in terms of service and warranty, right?

That's a cryptic bulletin, don't you think? Why do they refer to it as an "Accessory Fit" DVD, when it should be "Factory Fit"? I thought the system in our car was not dealer installed, yet they mention "Dealer stock can be sold/fitted to demo/customer vehicles" several times in the bulletin... Are they perhaps referring to the accessory overhead DVD player? Regardless, it says on the bulletin that parts will be supplied for warranty repairs ONLY... Isn't your system still under warranty? If so, what's the problem in getting your parts ordered? |
