2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
XC90 V8 & Clarkson

He road tests it in today's Sunday Times - verdict -" Brilliant for the School run" Laughing Taxman will love it too - CO2 is 322g/km but mpg is relatively good at 20.9mpg!

He loves it and describes the Q7 as "a woeful thing with no boot and no go" and he doens't think too much of a D3 either other than to call it a "huge V sign " Laughing

Sad Sad Sad Sad not so good "quote" "I look at people in Range Rover Sports, which have the same level of oikishness as Shane Warne's hairdo, and I think"My god, you must have a thick skin" Laughing 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I read this too - remember Clarkson already owns an XC90! I had an XC90 and couldn't wait to get rid of it! Given the choice between the D3 and XC90 (because of the 7 seats) I would always take the D3. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I just read that over dinner just now...I only looked at the artical because it had a sign of him with "Save the 4x4's" Very Happy
Interesting...I respect him as a journalist however some of his views are just stupid! Michael Potter

I'm with you there VA I had an XC90 a few years ago & it was the biggest heap of S***e I ever owned. Sold it back to the dealer for a loss, less than a year after I got it, just to get rid of it.

First time I strayed from Land Rover since 1993 & most certainly my last Shocked

You lasted a year - I only managed 6 months! Plus the Volvo forum is a bit dull! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

It wasn’t so much the engine labouring, but more all the bits that fell off it.

The fact that it wouldn’t drive down the road in a straight line. The twanging & banging out of the front suspension, the scuttle in the steering if you encountered “mid bend bumps” something we have a lot of here in Ireland.

Then when I rid myself of it, after less than a year, the tyre wear was spectacular !!! With the front drivers side tyre worn on the inside, the two rear tyres worn on the outside & the front passenger side tyre showing a perfect wear pattern. Shocked

Oh & by the way the crummy dealership…..”It’s the first time we’ve come across these problems, never seen it before” .......what a load of absolute tripe Evil or Very Mad

This despite the fact that on one of the many occasions the car was at the dealership, I got their demo XC90 as a loaner & it exhibited pretty much all the same suspension / steering issues as my own Rolling Eyes

(Ok rant over, I’ll go back to bed now I think)
