Egg'd tonight!!!

Went to my friends house and had a takeaway tonight, for a bit of a chat and catchup.. driving home about 12.30am, and nearly home, crossed paths with a Pug 206 travelling quite slow in the opposite direction. When bang.. something hit my windscreen directly in front of my face.. thought it was a rock at first, but it exploded all over the windscreen.. I slammed on.. there was a road to the left of me, so i swung it onto the side.. and suddenly realised it was a bloody egg, my auto windscreen wipers were on, and it smeared the egg all over my windscreen and all over my wipers!

Bastards.. saw red, swung the car round, and made a dash for it up the road, they saw me swing round and floored it, saw them go round the island all the way and take the first exit to make me loose them, but fortunately the 335 has a little bit more pace then a Censored pug 206 so was soon all over them. Don't actually know what i was going to do, as it was a car full of lads, white, teenagers, and was going to stop and turn round and make my way towards home, thinking maybe it wasn't them, but could of been from a house or some kids on the side of the road that i hadn't spotted, when the passenger leaned out and popped another egg in the air.. cheeky git... which made me basically follow them across solihull, they were going quite slowly, wondering probably what the hell to do, and all i could do was take the plate: Silver Pug 206 with plate: VK56 ZSD, and an accident repair ad on the side of the car, making me think its a courtesy vehicle and the lads in it, decided to drive around egging people/cars on their sat night out.. HOW SAD..

Followed them for about 3 miles, and they must have got worried, as they all kept looking round and the driver was becoming nervous by the way he was driving, kept my distance, as the 2nd egg had just missed, and i don't want to be cleaning more then one egg off my bonnet/side window/wing tommorow, and i came to going out of town, then it dawned on me, what if they stop... and jump out.. Im alone, have a relatively flash car etc, and don't really want it damaged anymore... so i stuck my full beams on, antagonised them for a bit then took a U turn at the next island and came home...

On my way home, came across a police panda car on the side of the road, sitting waiting for the Censored heads to clear away from a pub, so i stopped, showed the two pleasant coppers the egg all over my car, and we found it quite amusing actually, as its definitely an egg as the peel is all over my wipers and sides of the windows etc.. and i gave the reg to them, and they said, well as it caused no damage, it is classed as causing nuisance and nothing more. Had you of crashed or it of damaged your car, which it hasn't then it would be a different story. Gave them the reg, and the description which they asked for, and asked how i had got the details, and i said i followed them and memorised the details, and they to be fair to them, called it in on the radio and said if we get any more calls about egging nuisance tonight we will run the plate and go and have a word tommorow, but my incident wouldn't result in any criminal offence etc..

Now if i had of been with any of my mates or in a convoy coming back from somewhere, it could have ended differently, but i chose with my egg'd car to come home, and just take it as a lucky escape.. had my window have been down or any damage caused to my car, then i would have been even more pee'd off, but then it would have been criminal damage, so they would have pursued the incident further.. Felt a proper vigilante moment coming on, but saw sense before i got hurt or my car further damaged.. still not a happy bunny though..

The police man did comment on the car though and said it was a nice motor, and he would be pee'd off too if it happened to him, and didn't blame me stopping and asking.. grrrr..

Kam, you need to stay in more !! After all, that is a seriously dodgy neighbourhood you live in. Laughing

Seriously though, glad you weren't hurt and your car wasn't damaged.

I think I'm going to ask for police protection on my way to and from work, or at least until I get to the relatively calm peace abiding neighbourhoods of Acocks Green or Sparkhill. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

You were lucky!

On "Mischief night" (Bless the American that invented that!) some of my neighbours cars were "egged" funny eh? But when you looked close up the paint had fractured in a very strange way under the lacquer - a bit like crazy paving or a spiders web!

Little Cants...

Just awoke from my long slumber, am yet to go and check the car.. and wash off the bloody egg.

Jay.. all the boys were busy elsewhere, and like i said had their been two or more of us, or even better a convoy of cars with me all coming back from somewhere as often happens on a late night out, then it would have been a different story..

I did think the potential for them even to scratch my car, and or worst ram me would have been a bit more bother then an egg.. so hence why i backed off, but i really did give chase in a very dramatic way, and full beams with bi xenons as you know driving in an eratic manner really does put the jeepers creepers up the other car, especially when its a 1.1/1.4 and seems to be moving backwards when they try and gain some ground..

They were in my local area though, and i know all the local places round here, so will keep my eye out for the car tonight and over the next week, if i see it.. hmm.. leave that to your imagination.

Having a very memorable number plate on you car, isn't a good thing when things like this happen though.. the drawbacks of having a private plate i guess.
Yes VA i really was fuming when i got back.. so had to release it in essay format as you can see, and it really did calm me down.. (well kinda..)
And luckily the egg actually contacted on my windscreen.. so shouldn't be any paint damage, unless eggs corrosive?
